Martin Anderson - Director
Martin is one of the founding members of BFI with over 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, beginning as a Geophysicist at Western Geophysical, Geosource, Digicon, Shell (NAM) & Marathon Oil, plus Sierra Geophysics. Then moving into Business Development as Sales Director at CogniSeis, Paradigm Geophysical & fpr Ikon Science in UK The Middle East & India. Martin also gained wide ranging IT experience during 10 years with Eurotech.
DR. HELOISE BLOXSOM LYNN, Global expert in Fractured Reservoir Anisotropy
Seismic geophysicist skilled in interpretation, processing and acquisition for reservoir characterization, in the presence of unequal horizontal stresses and/or aligned fracture sets. “I make anisotropy your friend, not your foe.”
Awards: Fessenden Award, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, 2015.
The SEG Honors and Award citation:
Heloise Lynn is presented the Reginald Fessenden Award for her 35-year career of translating the anisotropic behavior of seismic waves into practical applications that allow stress fields, fracture systems, and geomechanical properties to be characterized in targeted rock systems. She has described her research findings in many oral presentations and in 47 published papers that collectively create an invaluable knowledge base for scientists, researchers, students, teachers, and exploration geophysicists
Experience: 46 years processing, and interpreting, and acquiring seismic reflection field data for oil and gas exploration (1975-2021); 41 years working multicomponent and/or multi-azimuth field data (1980-2021) to learn of in-situ stress and/or vertical aligned fracture distributions (through anisotropy), and for reservoir identification and characterization.
Autumn 2019 North American Honorary Lecturer for SEG: “Azimuthal anisotropy: past, present, and future.”
Peyman Moghaddam - Director
Peyman has over 20 years experience in research in the oil and gas industry. He received his PhD in Geophysics from University of British Columbia in 2008 and from 2011 to 2013 he was with Shell global solution international in Rijswijk as research consultant developing seismic inversion applications. From 2013 to 2015 he was with TGS in Houston as Senior Research Geophysicist. From 2018 he joined BQI FUM Innovation as Senior Researcher & Business Development Manager.
